Jennifer Harris from Grand Blanc, Mione of my favorite andy gibb songs.Oftentimes when we could not find the song or a. 1 & stayed there for 3 weeks then "Best of My Love" by The Emotions took over the top spot for the next 4 weeks but Andy hung around and reclaimed #1 for another week!!! We used to host karaoke professionally so we wanted to upload our songs here so that we never lose the files.

Barry from Sauquoit, NyOn July 30th, 1977 "I Just Want to Be Your Everything" became No.So easy to listen to and sing along with. Andy Gibb sings it so pure and clear and flowing. Camille from Toronto, OhWhat a great song.Esskayess from Dallas, TxBarry, Maurice and Robin were certainly devoted brothers - They basically "made" their little brother's career, but he wasn't talented enough to maintain it.They divorced 2 years later and had one daughter together Peta Jaye, who he is rumored to have only met once when she was about 3 (1981) he died March 10th 1988 of myocarditis at age 30 BTW the song was actually written by Barry and Andy together on Andy's honeymoon for his then wife Kim. If he had stayed with Kim Reeder who he married in 1976 at 18 he would probably be okay now. Abigail from Lexington, Andy was plenty talented, he just was corrupted by Victoria Principal and got into some trouble with drugs.really did Barry undress Kim for Andy too ? NO where did I ever hear any of that I have followed Andy since his US release in 1977 he was even my 1st album (shadow dancing) & grew up in Bee Gee's galore generation even on 8 track READ UP on it think what you wrote Andy wrote it with his brother on his honeymoon. WRONG! They (Barry who gave Andy co-writes) wrote it in Bermuda at Rob Stigwood's house under pressure & duress from Stigwood Louise from Florida, NyThis actually states he interrupted his honeymoon to go do the recording not the writing.Sadly, Andrew Roy Gibb passed away at the young age of 30 on March 10th, 1988.
Andy gibb i just want to be your everything portada disco driver#

Saw his brothers at the sold-out concert at the Silverdome, July '78. from Michigan I liked the Bee Gees, but Andy had my heart. The result was a can’t-miss slice of soft rock that became a #1 pop hit in 1977, starting Gibb’s career with a bang and setting the stage for a string of hits that continued through the end of the 1970's. Gibb tops it off with a sweetly melodic lead vocal that crosses over into Bee Gees-styled falsetto on the chorus (the Bee Gees-styled sound is further enhanced by the prominent backing vocals of Barry Gibb, who also penned the song). Andy Gibb’s recording of "I Just Want To Be Your Everything" perfectly captures the essence of mid-1970's soft rock with its glossy production, which marries acoustic guitar textures and ethereal washes of synthesizer to a light but insistent beat that borders on disco. The lyrics present a twist on the usual love song premise - the song’s narrator isn’t trying to win over some mysterious object of desire but trying to earn the devotion of someone who hasn’t made up her mind about him: "Open up the heaven in your heart and let me be/The things you are to me and not some puppet on a string." The music reflects the narrator’s inner tension by contrasting verses that rise and fall in a pensive fashion with a chorus whose rapidly ascending style mirrors the anxious quality of his pleas. The first was "I Just Want To Be Your Everything," a soft-rock tune with plenty of Bee Gees-style hooks. One of the key beneficiaries of this generosity was Andy Gibb, the youngest Gibb brother, who went on to enjoy a string of three #1 hits penned by his brothers. By 1977, the Bee Gees were writing so many hits that they could afford to pass a few off to other artists.
